Tomo

Tomo moved from Tokyo to Calgary to pursue her ongoing interest in promoting optimum health in people’s lives through pilates. She is a former triathlete, and counts the Ironman competition in Hawaii among the many races she has completed. Her formal education was conducted at Colorado State University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Exercise Science and gained a great deal of practical experience working with the body as an aide in orthopedic physical therapy clinics. Having discovered pilates in the world of rehabilitation, Tomo pursued her certification with the belief that pilates could help people maintain a strong mind and body.

Tomo has achieved the distinction of STOTT PILATES Instructor Trainer. She continually draws from her diverse background and knowledge of the human body to help those wishing to become certified instructors, as well as in the interest of providing the most comprehensive program that will help clients achieve their own fitness goals.
